Alva Appelgren started the company BrainSelf to bridge the gap between science and application within the field of pedagogy, psychology, behavioural science and cognitive neuroscience.
In the lectures she describes research in a way that are easily understood in order to be used in different organisations.

In 2013 she participated in the contest Forskargrandprix where scientists present their research in 3 minutes. She won the semi-final in Stockholm for most inspiring talk.
